Closing the Gap
The strategy of International Breast Milk Project is to improve infant nutrition in Africa through a three-
pronged approach of:
- Providing donor breast milk from the US
- Funding local milk bank development in Africa
- Directly funding health care initiatives in Africa

Projects Funded
The mission of International Breast Milk Project is to provide donor milk to infants in need and to improve health care in developing countries. In addition to providing over 29,991 meals (119,965 ounces) to infants in Africa, we have also provided funding for the following projects:
2006 - May 2007 LOCATION, specifics
- $13,000 - Lewa Children's Home, Kenya - Clean water project
- $5100 - Beryl Thyer Memorial Africa Trust, Cameroon - Hospital equipment for a local breast milk bank
- $10,000 - Village Life Outreach, Tanzania - Clean water project
- $5000 - PADI/Rivuma Mission to the Poor, Tanzania- Clean water projects
June 2007- April 2008
- $20,000 - Village Life Outreach, Tanzania - Construction of a local health care clinic to serve three rural villages
- $45,000 - Lewa Children's Home - Construction of a local health care clinic to serve their orphan home and surrounding community.*
*Additional funds to be dispersed as construction milestones are met and required reports are submitted, up to $77,566.
