Advocacy Project
| International Breast Milk Project is excited to announce our new Advocacy Project. We recognize that our extraordinary success provides us with a platform to speak up and speak out on issues affecting HIV+ women in developing countries. Our inspiration comes from Paula Donovan, co-founder of Aids-freeworld.org. |
 |
Her recent article on breastfeeding caught the eye of IBMP volunteer Angel White who immediately acted on it. We hope it inspires you to do the same.
In the coming weeks, we will have specific opportunities for you to get involved in our Advocacy Project by attending events, sending letters and making phone calls to world leaders, decision makers, and international organizations.
We are calling for accelerated action for the World Health Organization's Global Strategy for Infant and Young Feeding.
 |
International Breast Milk Project provides donor breast milk to infants affected by HIV/AIDS at World Health Organization Baby Friendly Hospitals through our partner milk bank, Milk Matters in Cape Town, South Africa. |
If you would like to learn more about getting involved in our Advocacy Project, please email Angel at angelina@breastmilkproject.org.
